Protective Coatings
We can assure our customers of a quality product together with technical advice on all aspects of metal finishing or protective coatings. Certificates of Conformity can be provided and we work to BS EN ISO, ASTM, SSPC, NACE and NORSOK M-501 Standards.
Phenolic, epoxy, acrylic, zinc phosphate, zinc rich, glassflake, etc.
- We are capable of working to a variety of paint specifications
- We have inspection instruments necessary to comply with the paint specs.
(dew point hygrometer, digital thermometers, chloride contamination test kit,
potassium ferricyanide test kit,
digital profile gauge, DFT instruments, holiday detector and hydraulic adhesion tester)
- We regularly use and purchase direct from main stream manufacturers e.g.
International, PPG, Sigma, Sherwin Williams, Carboline, Trimite, Hempels, Jotun and many more
Spec. Painting
Recording and Documenting Paint Applications
- We have a NACE Certified Coating Inspector Level 3 on site.
He is avaliable full time to inspect and sign off reports.
- We regularly provide coating reports as required by the customer supplied specification.
Our coating reports are a true and accurate representation of environmental conditions,
equipment used, base and curing agent batch number and expiry dates,
Dry Film Thickness per coat, and any other test required.
Powder Coating
Let Mikris provide you with a long lasting and robust finish for indoor and outdoor use.
Colours and Colour Matching
The standard colour ranges we use include RAL, BS381C, BS4800.
We can also obtain colours from other ranges including NCS, Pantone, Dulux, Farrow and Ball, Little Green and many more.
We have a close working relationship with many paint manufacturers and are able to source the appropriate paint for the job.
Air Drying
Two Pack, single pack, cellulose, heat resistant
, base coat and clear lacquer
- The choice of colours and finishes possible with wet paint is much greater than that in powder
Plastic Painting
PVCu, GRP, polythene, acrylics, Perspex, polyethylene and polypropylene
- The coating system used chemically bonds to the substrate to form a permanently bonded UV stable coating
Wood
Stain or dye and clear lacquer
- Wood finishes can be sanded, stained and clear lacquered
- MDF items are sealed and sanded prior to top coat being applied

Mikris Finishers helped me restore an old garden bench that had belonged to my grandparents, so it held sentimental value to me.The bench was in an awful state with lots of rust. They stripped the rust and flaking old paint in their blasting suite, zinc treated it (to stop the rust from getting any worse) and then powder coated it. The frame looks amazing, so much better than I had hoped!Now that we have added the new slats the bench looks like new. It is now how I remember it from when I was younger and evokes memories of my grandparents sitting on it and enjoying a cup of tea in their garden.

We had some tired old metal garden furniture that needed a second life. We chose Mikris based on reviews and examples of their work. They have done a superb job cleaning, priming and powder coating. The end result is stunning. We would highly recommend Mikris.

This the second set of alloy wheels Mikris has done for me. The first are still looking great after 4 yrs but the newest are amazing.Satin bronze was selected for my Rondell Type 21’s and the results are truly top quality finish.I wouldn’t go anywhere else if I needed more doing in the future.

We have a full time AMPP Certified Level 3 Inspector on-site. We can provide a variety of testing from MEK Testing to 9V Pinhole Testing.
